Q: DAY 6 | Sabbath – Rest in God

Scripture : Psalm 119:165 – “Great peace have those who love Your law; nothing can make them stumble.” Devotional : Sabbath is a time to rest in God’s presence. Jacob, after stealing his brother’s birthright and living in turmoil, finally said, “How awesome is this place!”—not because it was awesome, but because God was in it. Sabbath is recognizing God’s presence even in your mess, failures, and mistakes. Seek Week isn’t just about action; it’s about abiding. We don’t see the full picture yet, but as we rest in faith, hope, and love, we experience God’s peace. Action : Spend today reflecting on how God has been present throughout Seek Week. Take time to rest and thank Him for His faithfulness. And we will see you tomorrow morning at THE HOUSE!

Q: DAY 5 | Seeking Leads to Worship

Scripture : Psalm 119:164 – “Seven times a day I praise You for Your righteous rules.” Devotional : Growing up in church, I thought worship required instruments. But at 16, I remember sitting in a basement church in Long Island while Pastor Peter taught on grace vs. law from Romans. As he read Scripture, something clicked in me, and for the first time, I lifted my hands in worship—without a single note being played. Worship isn’t just music; it’s a response to God’s Word and presence. You might not feel God today, but that doesn’t mean He isn’t near. Like the wind, you can’t see Him, but you can see the effects of His presence. Worship focuses on what is truly worthy—God’s priceless richness. Action : Find a quiet place and read Psalm 119:161-168 . As you reflect, respond to God however you feel led—whether through prayer, kneeling, or lifting your hands.

Q: DAY 4 | Strength in the Struggle

Scripture : Psalm 119:71 – “It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I might learn Your statutes.” Devotional : When I moved to Hawaii, my first year in ministry was amazing, but it was also the loneliest year of my life. I’d always had strong teams around me, but during that season, God taught me that I didn’t need human advice or support as much as I needed Him. Community is important—don’t get me wrong—but there’s no substitute for His Word. If you’re feeling stuck or struggling in your faith, let me encourage you: We don’t live by sight but by every word that comes from God. There have been seasons when His Word was all I had—and it was enough. Dr. Tim Keller said, “You don’t really know Jesus is all you need until Jesus is all you have.” The world may look shiny, but it’s hollow. God’s Word, however, is like honey—simple yet sweet and rich. Action : If you feel stuck, pray through Psalm 119:65-72 today. Ask God to teach you through your challenges and to draw you closer to Him.

Q: DAY 3 | Seeking God Through His Word

Scripture : Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Devotional : I remember lying in bed as a single man in SoHo, NYC. I was lonely, and Katie, who would one day be my wife, lived two blocks away—though I didn’t know that then. During those nights, I was tempted to seek fulfillment in places and ways that weren’t good for me. But God’s Word kept me grounded, and in His timing, He connected me to Katie. Reading God’s Word isn’t about quantity; it’s about quality. If you’re joining our Bible reading plan, find one or two verses that really speak to you. People often ask, “What translation should I read?” My answer: The best translation is the one you’ll actually read. The Bible is the only book that reads you as you read it. It’s a mirror—reflecting both beauty and blemishes. It helps us observe, adjust, and grow. God’s Word is alive and powerful. Action : Spend 10–15 minutes reading Psalm 119:89-112 . Find one verse that stands out and journal how it applies to your life.

Q: DAY 2 | Turning Your Eyes

Scripture : Psalm 119:37 – “Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in Your ways.” Devotional : We’ve been taught how to handle failure, but what about success or abundance? Today, our challenge isn’t scarcity—it’s overstimulation. Our issue isn’t addition; it’s elimination. Screen time, dopamine hits, swipes, and clicks keep us from focusing on Jesus. Let me give you an example: I lose expensive sunglasses all the time—Ray-Bans, Maui Jims, you name it. The cheaper ones, though? I somehow keep those forever. Funny, right? But here’s the thing: Sunglasses all do the same thing—they filter what we see. When you put them over your eyes, they determine how you see the world. It’s the same with distractions. If you put the wrong “filters” over your eyes, you lose your focus on what truly matters. God is calling us to focus on Jesus. It’s like putting blinders on a stallion—stallions are powerful and beautiful, but they’re easily spooked. Without focus, they lose their course. Put your eyes on Jesus and block out the distractions. Action : Eliminate one major distraction today—turn off notifications, log out of social media, or pause Netflix. Spend time in Psalm 119:33-40 and let God redirect your focus to Him.

Q: DAY 1 | The Foundation of Seeking God

Scripture : Psalm 119:2 – “Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with their whole heart.” Devotional : We live in a world where everyone is seeking something: money, fame, success, Instagram followers, the hit, or the high. But here’s the truth—none of these things satisfy. Even good things, like being physically fit or mentally healthy, can distract us from intimacy with God when they take priority. As a young man, I treated God like an addition to my plan. The cross was my insurance policy instead of my daily focus. I multitasked my faith and became lukewarm. But seeking God requires intentionality. It’s about small, daily steps. Think about it: Is it better to work out for 10 hours once or for 10 minutes every day for a year? The same is true spiritually—start with 5–10 minutes of focused time with God daily, and let Him change your life over time. Action : Take 5 minutes today to pray and ask God to help you seek Him with your whole heart. Before you do anything else tomorrow morning, spend time with Him.
